Preparing for Your Virtual Session
All sessions are conducted via Zoom with both audio and video. Maximize your virtual session by following these tips.
Devices
Headphones or earbuds are highly recommended for best results. Speakerphone is not recommended.
A laptop/tablet is preferred and highly recommended to use during the session. That said, if you are using a phone, find a place to prop it up (hands free) so that I can see you.
Test your camera and microphone prior to the session and ensure that I will be able to see and hear you once you've settled into your comfortable space.
Ensure your device is fully charged prior to the session and, ideally, plugged in throughout our time together.
Please have your ringer and alerts set to silent mode (not vibrate mode) and ensure you don’t have any upcoming alarms.
Location
Choose a spot where you have a strong internet connection.
Find a comfortable, quiet place, free from distractions of people and pets.
Notify household members you will be in session and request privacy and quiet.
Feel free to sit up or lie down. If sitting up, you’ll want to recline slightly so that your head and back are supported. A couch, recliner or propped up in bed works fine.
Feel free to cozy up with blankets and an eye mask, if desired.
Other
It's best to avoid caffeine before the session to help with relaxation.
The use of drugs and alcohol is not permitted before the session
Give yourself time after the session, if possible, for reflection, integration, and self-care.
